Battlefront 2 Galactic Assault - DICE's post-launch support of Star Wars Battlefront 2 in terms of new content such as heroes, mods and gameplay balance passes, the same cannot be said for Star Wars Battlefront 2 Galactic Assault mod support.
On Twitter, user neednojacket posted a thread mentioning how DICE hasn't released any new content for the mod in the last 18 months, which is wild if you think about it. Fortunately, DICE employee Ben Walk (posting under his username F8RGE) acknowledged the situation, and while he didn't promise anything specific, he did mention that he's working on various things that fans have requested, which will be revealed when "the time is right." Right."

For those unfamiliar with Galactic Assault, there is a large-scale game mode in Battlefront 2 with 40 player matches featuring heroes, vehicles, infantry and more.
There's a point to go, because the studio is delivering the goods when it comes to bringing content that fans have been asking for. Speaking of which, the studio released a new patch for Battlefront 2 just last week, introducing new heroes and more. The beta, chances are you gave the Galactic Assault mode a spin. Now for those who haven't, Galactic Assault is a multi-purpose mode that showcases everything multiplayer has to offer: there are heroes, vehicles and more.
While the mod itself is fun, many people (including yours truly) think the matches are over before they even get to be. There are some cases where you finally have enough Battlepoints to play as a cool hero, only to find that it's already over.
On Reddit, users shared the same sentiment - Galactic Assault matches are too short - and Dice Studio confirmed that they are looking into it! Dice developer Peter Westy said:

We hear this comment a lot and I agree that GA shouldn't be super short games. We are now discussing internally. Once we see the data we can make a better decision etc
There is no word on when and if the change will happen. Is this part of a day one update? Maybe, maybe not, but at least we're talking here, right?
